Lunch sketch of a work colleague. So love when I have strong shadow shapes to work with. Makes things so much easier.

Boat study near Granville Island
Another lunchtime sketch of a work colleague, Michael McRae. This guy just won a silver award in Spectrum... amazing young artist
That's cool. Never heard of Spectrum, but I would assume it's a great accomplishment and certainly encouraging for someone choosing the life of an artist.
All good stuff above.
"Not a bit is wasted and the best is yet to come. . ." -- remembered from a dream
Lunchtime boat sketch. Actually monkeyed with the comp quite a bit on this simple painting. In the end I just settled on the comp I could find, but not sure this was the best one. It wasn’t even radical changes...the different compositions...just minor changes trying to find a proper balance. That tells me I’m being overly finicky or it’s a symptom of a larger issue I’m not satisfied with. Hmmmm
Ambleside Park...
Such beautiful works. I enjoyed them immensely. Such talent!
Peachland, BC. Got too fussy with this one
