The ability to 'Hide' a selection

Does anyone know if there the ability to 'Hide' a selection that is so well hidden in the menu options that I've not been able to find it?

I am sure it is there (Artrage does everything!), but if it isn't, is it something you beavering away at?

Also if you hold down the H key for horizontal flip the selection disappears, the only downside of course is that your painting is flipped!, and you have your finger on the H key!

I'm not sure this is a bug or a feature, and also any stencils on the canvas disappear but still seem to function, which is also quite useful
