    Red face Alaska Nights

    Hi Artrage Members,
I am new to ArtRage and consider myself a beginner. I know that there are many levels of expertise and appreciate that it is our personal expression of this "Gift" that makes us all artists! This artwork is still progress and I appreciate any tips. Thank you!

Looks good. A big rule of thumb for paintings that resemble the real world is to think in terms of values (the design of the areas of light and dark). Sometimes as the artist to make things read clearer you would push the contrast and design shapes. For example, the sky me lighter than the house and mountains so they could stand apart somewhat more. That kind of thing. But it's a great start and looks like a whole lot of fun. Enjoy the ride as an artist. :-) It's all about the journey. Plus the paintings you do along the way are kinda nice mile markers as well.
