    Well.....Alrighty then...

So I'm working on my morning sketch excercises (like piano scales for me) and I started drawing this little sketch. Well I did not like the direction it was pointing so I decided to transform it so that it was more upright.

Well I did something during the transform process--I had selected all of the layer content that is for sure and I used the transform tool.

What happened here looks kind of cool to me but I am not sure what exactly happened. Any thoughts?

This happens with filters also, maybe it’s a bug?

And the last one to make it clear, that it isn’t an incident.

How are you selecting? Are you selecting the layer contents from the Edit menu? That won't select transparent content like the antialiasing around strokes (if those filters are using this option, that is why you're seeing the same issue).

Use Select All (Ctrl + A) instead of Select Layer Contents (Ctrl Alt A).

Well, art and software....art and software...hmmmm..what to say....I don't, as an artist, consider this an issue--I am looking at it as a very happy accident. Even though I am not sure how I personally did it I realized now that it is repeatable and if you do it over color like JMMK did darned if it doesn't look like an issue--it looks like a wax resist. You need a cool pen that does this very thing.

My suggestion here is that you gather this issue up into some sort of tool and call it something---or find some kind of use for it.... now one thing I could think of is to make friskets or negative templates directly from sketches but I think you already have it covered. Regardless. It's cool looking.

Thank you Hannah, and as always your right again, it is my mistake

This is what I did: I selected the white inside with the “Magic Wand” tool and then used the paint bucket to fill with white. And for the transparent Border I did that also with the “Magic Wand” and delete that.

I tested with a new scribble, and started with Transparent layer, painted the light blue border, and used the “Paint Bucket” to fill in with White and then the Orange and Yellow strokes.
Then used the same filters, and everything is alright.
