Trying to Understand Real Color Blending Engine

Is the real color blending engine designed with real oil paint in mind? Such as demonstrated in the following?

If not, what color theory or functionality is it designed to simulate? (i.e. what color principles guide it?)

Any traditional real oil painters out there? Have any insight about how blending works?

Yes I think the traditional color mix is intended to reflect physical paint. Now it does not always work precisely like physical paint..., there are threads on the forum that talk about some issues... https://forums.artrage.com/showthread.php?48523-Injecting-Yellow-when-Blending-Colors&highlight=real+color+blend

edit: note that this linked thread is from 2015, no AR5 yet at that time, don't know if anything changed since then...
