    Cutting the liiight

    Sketched in Photoshop CC 2017 on desktop, additions and refinement in Cloverpaint on mobile phone and painted in Artrage 5 desktop using thick paints.

    I have attempted to paint this a few time over the past year without success. To solve problem I created simplified value, local tone and colour only sketches which i used as reference for final painting. I like that process and will be exploring it a lot more since i never use to do that before and it made figuring out the final painting less of an exercise in frustration.

    What is learned is taken to the next creation, rinse and repeat.
