Replace my canvas with a transparent layer

Hi,

I would like to replace my canvas with a transparent layer for a step in my work - later I would like to put the canvas back. It will allow me to create effects with another layer placed below displaying my photo project. Yes I would like to mix painting and photo thanks to the eraser tool.

View > Canvas Settings > Opacity: 0%
