Northern Lights

Just returned from the most wonderful trip to the ArcticCircle/Tromso/Norway. We were lucky enough to see the Lights.

Plenty of reference photos so must get back to painting.

bbbbbrrrrrrr. You never looked more like a Viking (or was that a penguin?). The really good news is you have your kit for your space walk as you go up there and turn the Northern Lights to footlights, Twinkle toes.

No penguins up there - they're down my way. Supplied thermal suits kept out the cold plus we had a campfire and toasted marshmallows after we had our reindeer soup and hot chocolate. My granddaughter had never seen snow!

Sounds like a real dream. Good for you guys. Toasting marshmallows under the northern lights. I live in this hemisphere and I've not done such a thing. So did you sing campfire songs in Norwegian?

"Ya shoore, yumpin' yimineee. . . It's too cold for poisonous critters here. . . by gum. . . If it weren't for the snow you could run around barefoot and survive. . . ya sure you betcha. . ."

Am I jealous of your fun adventure? Ya sure, you betcha. Thanks for the pics by the way. The lights were really right there to see.
