How do I get the visual presets lists and not just the text list

I am setting up a page on my desktop version, PC, and i want to apply a texture or grain to the surface. I used to get a sub-menu list that had a little square with a visual representation of the texture...but now when I do I just get sub-menus that are text only. This happens sometimes when I am looking for different brushes or pens also. Here is a screen shot to better illustrate the text menus.

Hello michaelws,
If you click on the menu entry; ‘Canvas Collection…’ you will get the panel open which shows the thumbnails for each canvas.
To select one just double click on the canvas thumbnail of your choice. A right click on a thumbnail will bring up another menu letting you rename, move, delete, etc... canvases.
