Red face I just had a totally crazy idea ;-)

    Recently I watched this video:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7CDAHhFpktQ

Then I tought I could draw such a picture too and animate it.

It would be a burner if ArtRage would have such a spherical canvas view to draw on,
to get perspective right when drawing. (Maybe with a faint optional transparent overlay grid to keep on track.)

Then I could draw images for 360° spherical videos.
Kunst muss nicht immer kompliziert sein!

For any other challenged member - here is how you see the animated video.

On desktop, you can drag the video around with your mouse or use WASD on your keyboard to look around. You can also use the controls in the top left. On mobile, you can use your finger to rotate the video. If you're on a browser that doesn't support 360 video, you'll see a flat warped video.

Oh God of homeless things, look down
And try to ease the way
Of all the little weary paws
    That walk the world
    today.

    That's not what I meant

    I think you missunderstood me.

I don't want to play 360° videos in ArtRage - I know there are viewers for that.

I want to make paintings for 360° videos.

The problem is - for a 360° you have a spherical projection which means when you
draw somthing on a flat canvas and make a 360° image of it, it will be shown totally distorted
    in the zenith and nadir.

To prevent the distortion of your image you need to draw on a canvas which is already shown
in a spherical projection. Then you can compensate it. Of course the image is saved as flat for
other software but such an image looks like that.

Do you really think someone can draw an image like that on a flat canvas?

    360 degree tile canvas

That would be so awesome! I could see this feature and even make it have layers to export to adobe as individual layers.
