Buddha 3000 - WIP (aka Artrage 5 Contest Submission #2)

This is an idea I've been thinking about for a while, but only now am I able to visualize it. The term 'Buddha' refers to one that has attained enlightenment. The concept of this piece is to depict a man that has attained enlightenment in the year 3000, using a combination of meditation and technology. The base for this illustration is a 3D render that I created. I hope to have this finished for the contest deadline.

I like this very much. What 3D apps are you using (Poser, DAZ3D, Makehuman, Bryce)?

    I like to dabble with DAZ3D, Vue Complete, Silo3D, Hexagon3D & 3DCoat.

I like to use ArtRage to give my 3D renders less of a CGI look.

    Greetings,

Thank you for the kind words. I mostly use Daz3D, although I also use iClone. I prefer Daz because I'm able to sculpt and re-introduce the changes faster. What I focus on most the is shading/lighting, not the quality of the render, since I paint over that anyway.

I'm still playing with some ideas, nothing concrete.
