    Simon Stalenhag

    Hey guys.

I heard from a friend that Simon Stalenhag http://www.simonstalenhag.se/ uses Artrage in his paintings. The guy is a genius! Look at his work.
So, I suggest you guys from Artrage team should get in touch with him and maybe feature his work on Artrage site. Just a suggestion!

    Cheers!!

Super impressive. When the AR folks see this they should take note (and make sure he does it all in AR) and see about using those examples in their promotions.

As just a fan of the software and painting in general, thanks for the link.

    He posted here in 2011:

But OMG I would love to see a video of him using the software for just one painting.... I'm blown away.

EDIT: Found an interview where he describes briefly a little about his process:

    Found this:

Work in progress shot (old) from Simon's tumblr... does not look like he was using ArtRage for this one.

Can anyone identify what software is on the screen?

That is Photoshop with a light interface.
My friend sent me his conversation with Simon. It looks like he just uses a bit of artrage. :\
    Simon:
"Thanks for your e-mail and your kind words. I use Photoshop mostly, but also a bit of ArtRage. As for the process it often involves a lot of photo references of the surroundings where I live outside of Stockholm. Sometimes I use Sketchup to block things up in 3D. I always put a lot of effort in a initial sketch - to find all the values and create a simple palette. When that is done I start a new document from scratch where I slowly build up the illustrations, much like you would traditionally. Other than color correction, I tend to stay away from using filters, gradients and blending modes and approach everything like you would with traditional paint.

Anyway, thanks for showing an interest in my work."

Well, that was from a few years ago...

Hey, can anyone create a brush in ArtRage that does the kind of strokes Simon makes? I think they are absolutely gorgeous... but I can't seem to tweak ArtRage to get those strokes.

Looks like he has some books for sale on Amazon. I'm tempted to purchase one or both... https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_n...imon+Stalenhag
