    Hi everyone

    Hi everyone,

I'm Katharia, i'm new to the forums, not the program which i'm having for some time now (Artrage4), and there's no other drawing program which i like more then Artrage
I'm here because i want to ask some questions.
Why is there so little activity on sites like deviantart and Flickr? it's such a pity.
And are there people streaming on twitch and is that even allowed to do for me if i want to show how i draw?

    Greetings from Katharia

    Hello and welcome, Katharia!

DeviantArt and Flickr have kind of been way overtaken by Instagram and Pinterest, mostly because Instagram and Pinterest both have much larger user bases because their sites are far easier to deal with, not just for artists, but also for audiences of artists—which is way more important than just trying to impress other artists.

DeviantArt is also full of bugs and many artists have moved on to having professional portfolios on sites that employers can actually navigate without thumbnails turning into broken images. That kind of ruins your employment prospects.

Tumblr in a lot of ways has also overtaken DeviantArt, because Tumblr is far more social than DeviantArt ever was in terms of social features (much like Instagram) and Tumblr integrates art and blogging more naturally. Weird, I know. If DA ever bothered to fix their bugs maybe life would be different, plus you don't have to use DA's print selling when other, better alternatives (like Threadless' new Artist Shops to Printful exist—avoid RedBubble though) exist.

As for Flickr, it kind of languished because of lack of support from the new Yahoo! owners, who many suspect are going to kill Flickr in a few more years because it doesn't make enough money for them. (Thus the owners remove more support, and thus more users leave the site, and it's kind of gone into a death spiral phase.)

Plenty of people stream on Twitch under the "creative" banner (basically you tell twitch that you're playing "Creative" as a game) and yes, you are allowed to stream there. Please read Twitch's creative FAQ for more directives vis a vis art.
