    Unhappy kinda confused

    Hello all,
    I am using AR 4.5.10.

I have downloaded from the forum some of the shared resources.

I'm not sure where/how to install each kind. I don't want to put a resource in the wrong resource folder.

I read the sticky on installing, but still not clear to me,sorry.

where/how to install in version 4.5.10:

    1. .stk
    2. .prs (how do I know where a .prs goes? are they all brushes? does it matter what kind of brush (i.e. oil, wc,knife)?
    3. Art packs I understand how to install
    4. .col

    many thanks,
    SJ

    .stk

.stk files are Sticker sheets. To install them, do the following:

1 - Open the ArtRage Program
2 - Locate and click on the Sticker Sheet pod, to open the Sticker Sheets Panel
3 - On the Sticker Sheets panel, click on the Menu button (Small square button with four horizontal lines, located on the upper right of the panel) and then select the option to "Open User Stickers Folder"
4 - Place the .stk files you've collected into a folder of your choice or create a new folder to add them to
5 - Close and Restart ArtRage to ensure the new items are found by the program.

    .prs

.prs files (Preset files) can be used to save the settings of nearly all of (if not all) ArtRage tools. To put a .prs file into ArtRage by hand, do the following:

1 - Open the ArtRage program
2 - Select the specific Tool that the .prs file is made for
3 - Locate and click on the Presets Pod to open the Presets Panel
4 - On the Preset Panel, click on the Menu button and select the Import Preset to collection

    .col

.col files are Color Sample files. To get them into ArtRage, do the following:

1 - Open the ArtRage Program
2 - Select "Tools → User Content → Open User Samples Folder" from the menu options located on the top of the ArtRage window
3 - Place any of the .col files you gathers into this folder (It may be necessary to restart ArtRage after this, but I'm not certain on this one).

    Thank you so much someonesane...........

On the .prs files, some of the titles don't clarify exactly what they are (what specific brush tool, etc) so I will have to go back to the forum and see in what context they were described and shared.

Here are the ones that I am not sure what specific tool they are:
    knife wet on wet.prs
    Neil Crundge 1.prs
    Neil Fluffy Crundge.prs
    Neil Scrubbler 2.prs
    Neil SuperFuzz.prs
    Triangular Chaos.prs
    wet on wet.prs

    many thanks,
    SJ

    Happy to help

Based on the names of the presets, my guess is they are Palette Knife tool presets. Once you've imported them, select the Palette Knife and see if you can find them on the Preset Panel.

Are all Sticker Spray presets and Wet on Wet is a watercolour brush preset.

I have all of these. I don't have the knife Wet on Wet and would agree with SOS that it sounds like a palette knife preset.

Oh God of homeless things, look down
And try to ease the way
Of all the little weary paws
    That walk the world
