    Paperless Background

I am trying to make comics and I need the cartoon but not the white paper background.
Is there a way to save just the drawing and not the paper background?

You can simply set your canvas to zero opacity. Also it will help to eliminate any grain pattern. Check out the canvas settings. You will find that under "View" on the tool bar at the top of the screen.

Yup - or export directly from the layer menu.

I will try that. I tried to save from the layer and still got the white paper background. Maybe I'm not holding my mouth right.

Oh! Overlooking the basics here: make sure you're saving it as a PNG (or PSD), as it has to be a file format that supports transparency Otherwise you just get whatever the non-transparent background is.
