    Neptune

    Well he was bound to turn up in one of my paintings sooner or later, here he is blocking the path of an olden days sailing vessel, looks a bit cross for some reason , Quick now on with the brakes..........Ohhh!!!....Jack.

    I met him in the old days when crossing the equator - in the days when we travelled to Europe by ship instead of flying. He wasn't near as fearsome looking then as I remember. Wonderful painting with great detail as usual.

    I think the ship is probably trying to escape after having stolen the swim fins and snorkel out of Davey Jones' locker. It's not well advised to mess with the king of the deep if you're a mariner.

    A right good yarn, lad. Certainly calls for the tellin'.
