    Lion

    Hi Guys,

Wanted to share my recent digital painting of a lion - This took almost 105 hours to complete over 3 months. Very challenging but absolutely enjoyable. The print size is 40 inches x 40 inches so pretty big!

The method I used was to split the reference in to grids on my iPad and paint it one square at a time on my laptop using Artrage Desktop and WacoM Intuos tablet

Super nice painting of a lion's head.

Why did you strip it out from a background? The irregular edge sort of begs the question.

    Impressive outcome indeed! Bravo!

Fortunately this chopped lion head is a painting and not just another "heroic" achievement of some ISIS-Daesh coward idiot ....

Excellent work. Never had the experience of using the hardware you mentioned, an i pad.
Never attempted anything so large 40"X40", such a size on my desktop computer might create problems crashing.

For a painting this large would be nice to see one of your section squares a close up of your fine details.

This painting really is king of the jungle.
I have a personally designed artwork gallery website at: www.stephenlopiano.com
There is one section full of pages there under the Digital Artwork category that is devoted entirely to paintings I have created with Art Rage.

Thank you for your comments Stephen - greatly appreciated!

I have included a short video which zooms out on my painting so that you can see up close
