    Streaming with ArtRage

So I have started trying to do some streaming lately. I'm going to try to make this a fairly regular thing on Mondays and Fridays for now. I'm going to try to make it from around 8 to 11 AM EST, but I cannot guarantee anything due to certain obligations that may take priority. That said however you can come visit and hang out with me at:

    www.twitch.tv/delofasht

or you can watch the stream later on Youtube at:

    http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCr4JXBRaY8X_2CCrJDy-TFQ

Hang out, watch, or put it on in the background while you paint or play a game. Please check it out, I could use the assistance with developing interesting content. If there is something you would like to see or learn about please let me know, I am looking to really improve upon this and show off what I'm working on as well.

Thanks everyone for all the support you have all given me over the years. I am looking forward to making more of these as the weeks progress.

I thought this would be relevant here since I work almost exclusively in ArtRage these days so it might be useful to those who may want to see some of the ways I'm using the software. Hope it's okay for me to post these here, ArtRage team.

Do you paint with a mouse or tablet, Delofasht?

    Interesting work, thanks for posting

Hildee, I paint on an iPad acting as a tablet through an app called Astropad. This allows my iPad Pro and Apple Pencil to replace my old Wacom setup and I can continue to paint my my couch or bedroom even. It is a rather ingenious little app actually.

DJM, the major idea of streaming for me is to give others like myself, who do a lot of painting in the house by themselves a friend to hang out with or someone to listen to. Painting alone can get lonely, so I tend to put on other streamers to listen to, I have learned a lot by listening to them over the years too and sometimes gets to ask questions. It is all about community and connections, and not feeling so lonely. Some artists just listen to music while painting, that works for them, others are like me, where it does not work. I needed something to engage my logical mind and engage the talking part of my brain, actually podcasts are great for that, but I can't generally communicate with the people in those podcasts often or directly. My hope is that other people like myself can listen and learn and maybe hangout and do some painting too.

How interesting, thanks for explaining. There are so many ways to do things, I always find tech so intriguing.

I enjoy painting on my own, occasionally with music. Strange, because I'm a musician and in that case I should want music on all the time I guess, but that's not how it works for me. I enjoy the quiet. I watch a bit of game streaming too and I can never understand why they want to play a game continually interrupting their gameplay by glancing at the comments scrolling at the side and responding. Frustrating for the viewer who is just watching and not invested in who likes the player.

For me to keep up a conversation and keep my viewers/commenters happy while concentrating on my painting would be difficult.

Well I do get distracted during my painting occasionally with the chat, but that is okay, like hanging out in a studio with friends, just as likely to get distracted there too. Quiet can be nice for some, a break from the hustle and bustle of life. I have to take very frequent short breaks while painting due to some issues with my arms, but now I fill those with looking at chat and responding while I stretch them.
