Started off by doodling rose petals.
Started off by doodling rose petals.
June.
Oh God of homeless things, look down
And try to ease the way
Of all the little weary paws
That walk the world
today. - Unknown.

Really, really nice work June
you certainly got a very nice result from your "doodling" June!...well done
Very nice! I started to paint some roses. It's not that easy.. Good job,June!
The flowers are really good. Nice form, nice color, very realistic. Conversely, the vase looks like a completely different style of picture making.
Water in a glass is a perennial favorite among art students. You may want to practice standing a spoon in a glass of water, control your light source (and/or take a picture to work from) and use it to paint from so nothing about it changes in the model as you take your time and examine the details.
Really get in there and look at all the reflections, the striations in the glass as it turns and overlaps, the cast shadow with the luminous middle etc. And if that doesn't make you head explode, you will have learned a whole lot and brought forward a very useful bag of tricks for future paintings.

Lovely little roses! They would decorate any home!
Vivid colors and realistic shapes and volumes. It looks like a thick plastic sticker ... Very good.
Panta rei (everything flows)!
