    Excellent outcome from this excercise! Welcome and well done!
    I found it to be from Gyula Benczur – The Baptism of Vajk.
    I don't know neither the painter nor Vajk and the relevant event, but I hope You may tell us the story, which seems quite interesting.
    Anyway the whole painting is as fascinating as the detail of the "Bishop" or whatever was his correct religious title ....

    Very good. You have good taste. It's like when they cleaned the Sistine Chapel and they found that all those muted colors from the centuries of smoky build-up from the torches and candles were originally far brighter.

    Oh wow! Very impressive! I really like this piece. Detail like that takes a lot of time and patience. (Which I struggle with.) Great job!
