This piece is based on one of the William-Adolphe Bouguereau's sketches I found on the internet.

    Interesting vintage looks.
I like very much the drawing. Did You use ArtRage pencil only?
As for the B&W picture mostly on PS, I wonder if You started from either a reference or from scractch by mere fantasy ....

    Hello, thanks.

As for the pencil drawing I used mostly Krita.
For me Mypaint has the most powerful "pencil - engine" but unfortunately it is buggy. (both Krita and MyPaint are free)
B&W picture is almost the master copy of the photo by Alfred Cheney Johnston "Ziegfield girls" series ( ca. 1928).

    cheers ;>

Beautiful women and anything Bougerreau is a winner with me. I'm not sure what you're showing you did. Are you showing how you changed the colors or colorized a classical style Bougerreau drawing? And how did you work on the photo of the women other than adding an effect?

I'm sure you're doing something, I'm just not sure what. Is your point about manipulation of pre-existing images to make it look like it was originally intended? Or for giving it a faux finish for a new spin?

    Anyway, it's intriguing.

Hello, thanks for your question. Everything I do I do it from scratch (sketch), of course. It's called hyperrealism. The "Ziegfield girls" I started hmmmm... two years ago ;p Just buried it for a while and finished lately.
Let me show you the original piece by William-Adolphe Bouguereau.

Doing "Bouguereau" is a must for me to escape hyperrealism which I see as a dead end for every artist.

    June.

Oh God of homeless things, look down
And try to ease the way
