I've always been fascinated by doors, both for the architecture and colors of them but also for the potential metaphor. It's always been a little like "people watching" where, in a flight of fancy, one can project onto those doors all kinds of stories -- who lives there, where it leads, etc.

This one as you have done it is most fascinating and evocative. For me it has both a conservative look as well as an artistic one, in which the rigidity of human structure is modified by a free flair for the natural. It speaks of paradigms being exchanged several times. Presumably starting out where man sought merely to dominate nature, then when that proved too much, then nature is coming back in with its own form of wisdom -- more about harmony. It feels balanced and healthy.

    Really beautiful, Rondo.
