Oh God of homeless things, look down
And try to ease the way
Of all the little weary paws
    That walk the world

Ah, a lazy afternoon snooze in a tree!
The cubs are safely hidden in the thorn bush at the bottom of the tree. No interruptions!
And later, as the sun sets and the air starts to cool, might just go and see if that heard of impala are still near the waterhole.
    But right now, forty winks…

Enug, your work with mammals is reaching perfection!

You gonna throw in a fish, amphibian, or reptile anytime soon?

A lovely visual Mark. No DO I won't be painting those cold-blooded creatures any time soon. You won't ever see a primate here either. Thanks to you both for commenting.

Heh, I guess I wanted to say Enug, you are TOO good at these... and IMHO whether making money from art or not, an artist passionate about her craft should careful about getting too comfortable...

Any challenges planned to throw at yourself next? A still life? A human portrait? A landscape maybe?

Your work really is quite remarkable!

I get what you're saying DO. If you scroll thru my DeviantArt page you will see that I was jumping all over the place until I found my niche - animals. I have always been an animal lover and felt more comfortable with animals than with people. I was happy painting various subjects but felt I didn't have a style or direction and then found I enjoyed painting eyes. It seemed a natural shift to animal eyes and with Mark kindly giving me access to one of his brushes I played around with it and my animal portraits were born!

Unlike some of the work I see here which must take days or weeks, I churn mine out in a couple of hours. Being retired I spend my days propagating and growing plants, painting with AR, reading, loving my three cats (and husband of course) - bliss! - OS travel is sadly not happening at present. I appreciate your advice and it hasn't fallen on deaf ears.
