    should like to know

If there is a possibility to achieve a kind of "broken up paint" with the palette knife? can that be achieved with a "rough" canvas or with settings for the knife? I was thinking here on a white birch tree, possible to make a bark like that with the pallet knife?

That is what I was hoping for to. Bob Ross would make mountains, water lines using it's tip, rocks and tree bark using this technique. Better then sticker textures because better control and more like the real thing. We still need a way to load a knife with a roll of paint and spread it with pressure variations and fading as the roll of paint runs out. Tilt and direction control. The technology may be too advanced for all of this but to dream about it.

Maybe You should use a very low loading, low pressure and almost no thinner too. Give a try.
    Panta rei (everything flows)!
