Thumbs up Hey Guys Long time no see

Hello to all my friends! It has been a while and I have not had much time to drop in to visit since I am now making 3d animations. After publishing ArtRageUS Magazine for 3 1/2 years I decided it was time to make a dream come true...... Howle Studios

I wrote my 4 Scifi books to make my own movie of them in 3d animation. AND Yes, I use Artrage for backgrounds and other things too for the movie.

After writing my 4 Scifi Short Story series books I began my trip into the unknown world of 3d and even 2d animation. A world of unexpected results and um costs too. Wow, I never knew how much was involved including computers and software and materials. Wow. It never ends. I have built up my small animation home studio to a workable (small) studio. I only have 1 item left to buy.. a sensor set for my 3d motion camera, the ones that attach to your body>camera.. ($1500). I am officially retired now (65) and well money is really hard to come by so winning this 3rd place prize will help me greatly to purchase my last needed item.

I have entered an animation contest that offers 3 prizes/ 1st>$700, 2nd>$500, 3rd>$500 for most LIKES (from friends and family) on our video entry on Facebook.
OK, I do not even think of winning 1st or second place (lack of expert ability) so I am shooting for 3rd place. The program is called (Reallusion) Crazy Talk 8.... a nice small program and fun to use but we use it to create actual photos of any peoples heads for the main 3d animation program called Iclone 6.

YOU can also enter this contest.....they offer the program free for 30 days and the contest ends on June 24, 2016.

If you would be so kind, give my video a like, I would truly appreciate it and THANK YOU. OK, My Joke is not so funny but I just need LIKES....

I hope you Ragers have a great day and keep on with your goals using Artrage! The best digital painting program on Earth!

    BAd News

    Hi Guys

    Well things have changed.
My best friend and landlord had died in a boating accident last sunday. I was a volunteer for 7 years only (no pay only room and board) He rented from the US Park service. So, now I have a short time to relocate as well. As I am retired and alone.......living only on SS....I have no money to move. So I am selling everything I can.

    I need your help desperately....

I need to win a contest....3d animation...... for a prize of $500 cash. ENDS FRIDAY !!!
3rd place is $500 for most likes on the video entry on Facebook. Yeea I know FB....Oh well.

If you would be so kind as to give it a like I sure would appreciate it and you would know that you did a kind thing.
PS> you do not have to enjoy the joke, it is a comedy contest.....and my joke is not so funny but this is only about most likes. That's it. Sorry to ask but hey I am desperate. I am also in mourning and that is so hard to deal with now too.

For those that do not know me, I am the volunteer that produced your ArtRageUS magazine for you for 3 1/2 years.

Thank you for helping me out if you can or will.

We having fun now or what?

What ever happened to your sci-fi project? Granted, this is a whole lot more manageable than a 3D fantasy world.

I like your entry. On the art director side of things, I would in future consider staging. I don't know what you have control over, but having the background warmer and brighter than your figure makes the BG compete with what you want people to be looking at. You also might want to think in terms of a spotlight on your guy while dropping the background back. A flat, evenly lit brick pattern is sort of uninteresting.

If you break it up somehow with light and shadow, you could well give the star of the show center stage. Right now he appears like we're waiting on the next act to come out and one of our mates at the table is telling a joke. He looks like he's in shadow and is illuminated by a neon beer sign or something. I mean, that could well be what you're after- a slice of life, kind of like those two old geezer characters in the Muppets TV show who make crotchety remarks as asides to the show. But even they were lit with the full intention of giving them center stage for their "moments".

So put him on the stage. Give him the focus of the whole audience unless you can set it up where the unconventional lighting makes sense, like those commenters in the wings on Britan's Got Talent. Then it implies they're not the main act.

Anyway, good luck and many happy moments making shorts. I like the idea a lot.

    Cool

    Hey D Akey
    Ragers::::

Good to hear from you D Akey!!! Thanks for the input. Unfortunately the program used is called Crazytalk and it is very limited in 3d and lighting and so on. The reason we must use it is because it allows us to create a 3d head from a photo so we have a realistic character and we then transfer it to iclone Pro or Character creator.

Iclone is the main 3d animation program.

Ah yes my scifi movie project.. well I did make a 1 hour movie :
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uPaGqQ0laek

from the 1st book I wrote (The Beast of Harmala) and it is not near the quality I desired but I did it as I was learning all the 3d programs and building my 3d (obj/props/audio/music/ Hitfilm and so on) database. I was limited on funds because I had to buy 2 computers to handle it. LOL wo. I bought 2 MSI computers.

Now I may have to move soon to ???? LOL and will have to wait to get started anew on the project, a 4 hour movie of all 4 of my series scifi books. It may take a while to complete by myself.....lol I do have some volunteers to do real character voices.

The contest I entered......wo another animation studio ended up with 250 Likes (long established customers) and me 101 (friends) so.....I lost 3rd place (most likes) and 1st and 2nd place are not decided as yet. I am thinking 5th or 6th place, HAHa oh well so is life in the fast lane. I did get some great experience though and that is a good thing. I tried my best and that is all we can do. Next one I will win!!!

Anyway, life is getting strange and now I am not sure where to move to and start all over, again. I have a month to figure it all out. I am considering Thailand, USA ??, Israel, Europe ??, well actually anywhere on Earth will do. LOL I just need a cheap room with Inet/power .....hehe

Anyone have such (available) in a month from now? Let me know...

Well best of luck as you seek out your next place on this blue planetoid. Sounds like you lead a most stimulating and varied life.

I watched the first bit of your production. I'll have to check out the whole thing once I have some time. Am in the throes of a deadline for a big project myself. But it looks really cool. Bet you learned a whole lot.

Great keeping in touch. Go man go!!!!!!!!!

Ahhh yes it was a learning experience doing it all by myself. Now I have other programs and new materials and upgraded software so all is good, I just need time to do it...

I am getting things worked out now so soon all will be good.

Let me know what you think of my first attempt at 3d animation movie making......LOL
Basically is the story line good? Or? Your ideas on it? I am very open minded.

    Thanks D Akey
