Best computer configuration for Artrage on PC

G'day from Australia.

My PC is finally in its last legs and needs replacing.

I need to do a brand new install with Windows 10 and get new components.

I will use Artrage for creating A3 X 300 dpi files which are largish files, especially with multiple layers.

The suggested configuration that I have from the computer shop is as follows.

INTEL 17-6700K 4.0GHz 8MBLGA1151 SKYLAKE
HI70-Gaming 3
VENGANCE 16GB DDR4 2133MHz CL10 DIMMMEMORY FOR 2ND/3RD GEN INTEL
Saumsung 850 EVO 1TB
WESTERN DIGITAL 4TB SATA GREEN 64M 5400RPM
4G GTX960 Gigabyte OC/WF2)C/G1 Gaming

I hope there is some kind soul out there who can check the above items and let me know if they are all compatible and would suit my needs for Artrage. I trust that it is okay for me to post this question here. If not please feel free to delete my question.

Hello Paul
Well in short the three main things for a speedy AR are, I think:
A fast multi core CPU. An i7 certainly fulfills that. ArtRage is CPU intensive!
Lots of fast RAM. 16 is good and probably expandable later if needed?
A fast and roomy Hard Drive. (I wouldn't consider anything under 500GB storage minimum. It always fills up so quick!) 7,200rpm if going traditional but PCIe flash based would be better yet.
As for the graphics card, AR doesn’t use it that much as its calculations when running are CPU based. So 4GB should be more than adequate there.

Make sure you specify the 64 bit version of Windows to use all of that memory and not the 32 bit version....
