Interesting idea playing with changing the nature of the pattern from waves to blocks. Not exactly my cup o' tea, based on the sine wave having a really identifiable computer filter feel, which is sort of rudimentary facile and to me not terribly pleasant to look at. But again, that's me. And it may be a step in your evolution to something stellar.
