Majestic. The kingdom is safe in your charge, to be sure. Sunny days as here depicted in this fine climate. . . unless you're in the UK in which case the weather forecast is. . . well, you know the rest (wet).

Very fine painting. Great scale and sense of space, not to mention the castle looks like it would be hard to lay siege to. Well planned fortress. As to the painting, the details are very pleasing wherever the eye wanders.

Jack, this is quite an achievement with the lighting. Fascinating to look at.

    Great painting.

    G'day from Australia.

    First post here

Great image, very painterly. Not too many colours which shows that you have skill with the palette.

    Keep up the great work.

Thanks to all for your replies, I have done more detailing on this painting because I wanted to use it as a desktop picture, but its only detailing so the actual picture is much the same lighting wise, thanks for the positive feedback, much appreciated....Jack.

It's all marvellous but I particularly like the light on the river.
    June.

Oh God of homeless things, look down
And try to ease the way
Of all the little weary paws
    That walk the world
    today.
