An oil painting by my father / Un óleo de mi padre

An oil painting of my father.
This still life should provide the 60 .... It's in the home of a great-nephew, and is painted on canvas.
It is signed as "Armijo" our family name.

    I add this:
My father was a railway worker all his life and self-taught (self made) painter.
It only took drawing lessons with Professor Ricardo Bindis in an evening course at the School of Applied Arts of the University of Chile.
The course ends as a helper professor Mr Bindis ...
My father admired Velazquez ´s textures!

damasocl - thanks for sharing this wonderful painting and story about your father. He sounds like a true
artist to me, one who loves to painting no matter the circumstances of his life. A true mentor
to you and he would be proud of you and the work you do..

Exquisite. What a fine painter he was.

By the way, the correct preposition (English way to say it) is painting "BY" my father. That means he painted it. If you use "Of my father" it means he is the subject of the painting.

    ------------
Exquisita.
