    Nice. Certainly good colors. As to the texture of the impasto being isolated in certain bands of color, it's an interesting choice that you have to decide about. If it works to your eye, then great. Ordinarily in my experience, there would be more continuity throughout the painting in order to make it feel like it's generally handled in a manner that's 'of a piece'. But your painting skills are at this point hitting where you're aiming. So the next bit is selecting various targets, cause you will hit them square on. And that's all part of the process of trying stuff out to see what it looks like.
