    Smile New to Artrage

This is my first post https://forums.artrage.com/images/icons/icon7.png I have several ??'s and in time hope to get them all answered with your help. I am still reading the manual and trying to make my way through it before attempting any images. I would like to create an image 13.5 x 19.750. I have at this time only the Demo and it will not allow this size. My ? is this. When I do purchase a full version, will my present printer print out this size (Canon MP 490). If it will, how do I go about doing it. Thank You

It all depends on your printer. I have the Canon MP640 (couple of series higher than yours) and the largest paper size it'll fit is still A4.

I gather your measurement is centimetres? Your printer should easily print that since A4 is 21.0 x 29.7cm and your measurement requirement is smaller.

Are you on a computer or a handheld device?

I'm surprised your demo version of ArtRage doesn't print at that size.

When you make a new painting (File/New Painting on the menu bar on pc), there is Print Size tab in the dialogue box that comes up where you can type in your measurement. Then it will print at that size wherever you're up to with your painting.

My image size was in inches,,sorry,I must learn 2 B more specific. I use a Macbook pro 15 inch laptop, and AR does let me know that my size is 2 large 2 print. Is my alternative, 2 place the image on a stick & then get it done at a print shop? If so, then at what resolution should I use 2 create the image? Thank U

Yes that'd be the printer - like mine not big enough for over A4. Print shop sounds like a good idea in this case. People do print a big image using A4 and put it all together with different parts of the image on different sheets. A little bit arty that way, haven't tried it myself.

As for resolution, I haven't printed in ArtRage for ages and I think it's a little different from other programs. I would ask in the Technical Forum where people are more likely to see your question
