I think with that Ace in his hatband, I would say he's not exactly got a poker face. A merry fool as a front, methinks, just to get his opponents to drop their guard. I've encountered a few, who say they're just a good ol' country boy. And, oh brother, see them and cover your wallet with both hands.
Really good character study. You must put him in you book of high adventure and colorful characters.
