    Winter Scene

Even tho we don't get snow here, (not usually) I thought I would do a winter scene, done in oil

The lighting is beautiful and the soft pastel colours complement the scene. We don't get snow either.
    June.

Oh God of homeless things, look down
And try to ease the way
Of all the little weary paws
    That walk the world
    today.

Beautiful. Must be drawn from memory. Looks like a Christmas Card.

This is the right period to post such a marvellous scenario! Very good also for a Mitteleuropean Christmas crib. Bravissima!

Overall very sweet. I would perhaps suggest that you round the far hills some at the top with maybe a little rim lighting. It may or may not be logical to do so, but they look rather flat to me. But were you to round them a bit from the sunlight, you would want to ave a lighter side and the other side less so as it faces away from the light source.

But it's a very pretty scene. I suddenly get the impulse to throw a snowball.

    Really pretty!

The soft colors and lovely warmth of the painting make it so special.

Gorgeous...but I do think I much prefer the revised painting with the falling snow as per Darkey's recommendation.....
