Menervous? Not really. I feel quite calm actually. . . but I'm LOVING this painting!

This is gorgeous. I love the style, the spectacular color control, the flowing composition, the idyllic location and the period feel. You shouldn't feel nervous either, except that you just raised the bar so high with this one. Fantastic! I really love it.

That's what art's about, isn't it -- at some point it's about the relationship between the art and the viewer, sort of like speed dating. (D Akey)

I really appreciate your French scenery. My father was a Frenchman who met my mother here in the US when his ship, The Georges Leygues, was brought into Philadelphia for refitting. I was the result of that meeting. Found my father in 1995, after thinking he had been killed during the war. Anyway, a long story.

I have been to France several times, and even though I was not born there, it feels like home and I have a love for it. Your paintings bring that feeling back to my heart.

Forgive me for eavesdropping, but Wow. . . My heart goes out to you and it must have been a real moment having found him. Did he even know you existed?

    Anyway, congratulations.
