This is my first time using Artrage 3, and Im new to the whole painting thing.
I would like to know how this looks so far and if you guys have any tips for me. (Using "Everlasting Oil" with the brush tool)
I just want to get an idea of what Im doing here.

    Thank you

Welcome! It's rather an early WIP so far, but we can aleady appreciate the sketchy drawing establishing the composition. Next steps will come soon I guess.

    Yes, welcome.

It's a nice idea. I would recommend that you don't get intimidated by doing things the "Proper" way. ArtRage is probably a little daunting at the beginning if you've never used it because there are so many features in this program and if you try to use them all in one painting it will become about the mechanics and not the fun of painting. And Art itself is also a huge topic to explore and that can also be overwhelming.

The trick, as I see it, is to learn only what you need to know to begin with. Get comfortable with the tools you will use in this painting. Thereafter, you can expand into ArtRage as you build out. There's a whole lot you can do with some of the basic tools. Why not sit back and enjoy the journey in the leisurely way that you suggest in the subject of this painting.

    So far, so good!

Have fun with it. Enjoy the journey.
