    Help

I'm currently trying to flip an eye. I never get the two eyes symmetrical and I thought of using the "Selection" tool, pressing ctrl+c and then ctrl+v. I just need to figure out how to flip the eye so that it looks normal. I'm new to the program and I would love some help. Thanks.

Hello MidgetDweeb and welcome to the ArtRage forums
After you have hit "Paste" the eye will be pasted into a new layer and have a bounding "Transform" box around it. At this point while it's still selected press the H key to flip it horizontally or the V key to flip it vertically. (A Right Mouse Button click inside the box will also bring up an options menu)
If you click and hold inside the box you can drag the newly pasted eye to where you want it.
To finish either click anywhere outside of the bounding box or press the Enter/Return key.
Finally, if you want, you can now merge the recently pasted eye's layer back down into the layer containing the original eye.

The easier way, of course, is to use paint symmetry when you draw the eyes.. I do this a lot in caricatures. Only thing you need to be careful of is to NOT put the pupils in until after you turn symmetry off... Otherwise they will look strange.

Ahh, I see. I had no idea ArtRage had a symmetry feature. I use it it on the PC and I still haven't done much exploring.
