    Importing ARPACK into ArtRage

Rondo, I'll bet you can help.

Using my iPad, I've clicked on your link which opens Dropbox with your ARPACK. When I click on the box with the up arrow, and OPEN IN, I do not see the Art Rage app.

In Art Rage, I've linked it to Dropbox.

As you may have guessed I'm new to this.

Can you please point me in the right direction. Thanks much

    Rob

Yup, the iPad app won't be able to use custom resources and doesn't have a Stencil option. To open Rondo's stencils, you'd need to use a desktop version like ArtRage Lite or ArtRage 4.

An .arpack file contains other files. ArtRage is the only thing that can open an .arpack file, but the Stencils themselves are just PNG files, so you can import these into your iPad painting and use them as actual paint. You can find a way to open the .arpack or just look for images that aren't packaged up in an .arpack yet.

    So:

    - copy/email/import the stencil to a new layer
    - leave as is, or use the Fill tool and Layer Blend Modes (e.g. Multiply) to change colour/colour inside
    - Or open the Layers menu, open the menu for the "stencil" layer and choose "Lock Transparency". You can then paint just the stencil lines.
    - Use the Transform option (in the layer menu) to rearrange, resize, rotate, flip and so on, as needed.

I do have the Desktop version, and will look there.

    Appreciate your help
