    Nice job Mike. This is a wonderful rendering that grabbed my eyes and kept them on the painting looking for more and more!

    Very nice. If you aren't happy with it, consider making your composition more dynamic perhaps. It also looks like you stopped when you got to the water at the bottom of the painting.

    If your intention for the painting is to show the sky, give that importance. If it's the buildings, show that part with more focus. If the river, feature that as the main part of the painting. It could make it easier for you to build your painting around a specific theme.

    If you want to paint using big paint strokes, then perhaps try doing simpler paintings without so much detail. And once you get comfortable, you can take it to later paintings.

    But this is pretty nice. Good job!
