Lots of Russian subtext. I can kinda put the pieces together in a sketchy way, about not being able to maintain our stuff. It's not unlike here in the USA. We outsourced all our manufacturing. I'm not sure there are that many people here who would know how to fix or even build anything anymore. Not like in the old days where you had a few things and you could maintain them yourself. Everything got cheaper to buy but not fix and so local people could neither build nor fix. And a generation passes and it's suddenly about lost practical skills. No tools. Nobody to teach, except in very specialized areas. But we do have to learn and adapt.

This is the sort of work that should be placed into a time capsule. A clear picture of this early 21st century. Aside from all that I like the hard edge style and primary colors. It matches the stark message.

Not what we would define a lovely, picturesque view, but Your apparently bare and essential style is peculiar and intriguing and makes the scene speak louder. I just wonder why the car's got flat tires and worn shocks ....

I guess I read this to be your usual tone because it looks a whole lot like many of the other paintings you've done.

So do you paint minorities a lot? Or is the minority part just a different element in your vision of your world?
