Oh God of homeless things, look down
And try to ease the way
Of all the little weary paws
    That walk the world
    today.

    Oh I love cats

They eyes are so captivating, and goes so well with the fur. What tools did you use? The fur is so realistic.

Thank you for your comment. I used a variety of tools - mainly a brush I made - I made a Sticker from a oil brush mark of mine then used it as a Sticker Spray - the palette knife on various settings, some loaded with paint and others with no paint and finishing off with airbrush and more blending with the knife.

The feline aspect of this character has been very well captured.

Love the fur. . . but don't let any animal activists see such a garment. Sweet pic. Could have been from the 1920s. I can't remember what pic that was that this reminds me of. But it's very nice. Looks hand done in part because of the structure of the bit around the mouth being slightly skewed. Gotta love cats. You captured quite a presence and low key expression. I like the composition. Kind of reminds me of a glamor shot. Definitely has that calico thing happening.

You are starting to get some really great effects with the eyes. Good stuff!

Thanks to all - DA the mouth probably is 'skewed' because I used the palette knife as much as I could in the painting - wanting to have a less detailed look - except for the eyes.

Pat and Bobbi I love the challenge of painting eyes - as you might have guessed!
