    Rough Rocks

I was experimenting and liked the colours so thought I'd show it.

Oh God of homeless things, look down
And try to ease the way
Of all the little weary paws
    That walk the world

I love this palette and how the muted red accents complete the painting with a tasty addition.

June, what a nice painting, warm earth tones and textures.. and the hint of red blossoms. I like the unpretentious landscape, it could be anywhere , just some rocks and dry grass, but transformed by your artistic vision and style...

Well thank you, Caesar, Gary and damsocl for the great and unexpected response. I thought the texture might be a bit rough - hence the title.

    Kind of an oriental feel

The wonderful shape of the tree that shows so well against the background color.

Thanks Marilyn, I showed this on WC and the feedback was that the composition was spoilt by having the tree in the centre. I thought the blossoms offset that. Interesting how perceptions differ.
