Oh God of homeless things, look down
And try to ease the way
Of all the little weary paws
    That walk the world
    today.

You absolutely NAILED a 1950s illustration style! (even a 1930s style in childrens' books as well).

What more can I say? Great break up of the color and balance between color and line. Very fast lines without much detail, in quite a simplification. One would often see this kind of thing in architectural renderings when you had to populate it with place holder figures, but needed to sell the overall effect and get the focus to not be on the figures, but rather either the melieu or architecture, or both. Wet streets were always a winner since they became dazzling over gray concrete for interest. Plus they were relatively easy to do since architecture tended to be very vertical. So those vertical reflections were a perfect continuation of the lines.

    Great job, Enug!

a beautiful little painting, you should use the print feature in the latest AR ( by MILK) I had "joyful village" printed as a post card just to see what they would look like and they came out great! not too expensive and they made a great gift.. I can see this would be perfect as a post card..!..
