    I-5 Rain

    Hi All,
I just thought you might like to know that I won a 3rd place in an art show with an Artrage painting.
It was mostly with watercolor, and I use a LOT of wet palette knife. I worked in several layers, with the vehicles and raindrops on a separate layer. I wasn't sure I could do those raindrops! It is supposed to be the effect of sitting in the passenger seat of a car watching the fog and the rain.

Let me offer my congratulations as well! This is really beautiful. I get the feeling of driving in the rain on a day that's not too bleak, but moist. And the way you've handled the colors is that it's bordering on a prismatic vision. . . like the rainbow is embedded in the landscape. The land loves rain when it can come by it out on I-5. It's pretty dry for long stretches. This is almost like a picture of wish fulfillment. I love it.
