Do you know about Adobe Kuler? You don't need an Adobe subscription to be able to make swatches online, though I think you need an Adobe ID to be able to download the files that are used within Adobe products. (I just take a screenshot and use that as a reference photo with the color picker.) Go to 'Explore' for swatches that other people have uploaded.

There are also places online where you can create a color swatch from a photograph. For example, Pictaculous.

If you do a search for 'color swatch' on Pinterest you'll be taken to a large collection of Photographs with beautiful colours, and also swatches that people have made on a variety of different sites.
