A big dose of painting on my canvass

    Hi,

Today I am trying to make scrapbooking with Artrage. I would like to make a big dose of painting on my canvass with much matter (texture). Is it possible ?

Thank you for your advice !

Hi Claudine, good to see you again!
Yes lots of texture or Impasto work is certainly possible with AR.
Oil paints, tubes, knives and brushes come first to mind as well as the glitter tool. Don't be put off by its name, (unless you like glittery things of course!) But it can be used as a kind of gloopy/textural airbrush. And not to forget some of the more 3D sticker sprays too.
Lima started a thread on replicating traditional Impasto methods which you can find here: http://forums.artrage.com/showthread...260#post266260
With some examples of finished work further on in the same thread here: http://forums.artrage.com/showthread...377#post279377
Hope this is helpful in getting you started. If traditional impasto work is not what you are after, maybe you could post some examples of the sort of thing you are trying to do and I'm sure the good people here will have lots of helpful ideas.

Oh, it's a pleasure to come back with such a welcome. I do appreciate these nice words !

Thank you for your message. Your information are very interesting.

I would like to do something like this (perhaps thicker). My plan is not the same one.

This one comes from Neon Diary site.

Maybe stencils plus the Impasto effects provided to get this kind of effect? Pretty certain I wouldn't try to hand paint all that.

One thing you could try is to paint the pattern by hand in greyscale, then *import* it as a new canvas grain and use that to paint your final colours on. For example: https://www.facebook.com/artrage/pho...type=3&theater

The texture of the canvas is decided by how light/dark the canvas grain is.
