    I hope you'll miss me.

Very early Thursday morning we will be heading for the airport to catch a flight to Rome - arriving at 8am local time on Friday - about 30hrs later, allowing for time spent in airports. We will be away for just over three weeks - dividing our time between Italy and Bosnia Herzegovina. We have done a similar trip before but this time we will be seeing more of Italy.

I have bought a Samsung Galaxy tab and downloaded ArtRage just in case I get the urge to paint - and I will be keeping an eye on the forum - so be good!

    Safe and pleasurable trip, June!

I've heard that over there they have paintings, if you look hard enough, so soak it all in and come back safe and sound and filled to the brim and teach us a few things.

We'll certainly miss You, but I may possibly perceive some of Your passing aura while You are travelling around in the Boot (how we call Italy in our language because of its shape without the two largest islands) or strolling in and sightseeing and visiting the Head of the World, the City, the Eternal City or the Queen of the Waters (just to cite a few ways Rome used to be called since ancient times ...
What a positive difference though to be a tourist rather than a "working inhabitant" of Rome; You would likely enjoy it while we mostly have to stand all the common problems of a large town which here tend to be even magnified ... Have a nice flight, much fun, pleasure and abundant blessings You may be looking for!

BTW, in addition to Matisse there's also, among others, a temporary exhibition of Chagall You may like to see in case ....

Thanks friends I know Frank and I will have a wonderful time in Italy - we have been to Rome several times but on this trip will be seeing more of the country. We have been watching the weather Caesar and it's warming up nicely. One time when we arrived in Rome on a tour bus the farmers were having a demonstration (manifestation the guide called it) and traffic had come to a halt, chaos!

We were always amazed at how drivers parked their cars. It was as tho they just pulled up anywhere, got out the car and went about their business with no fear of getting fines.

Well, welcome in Rome and its peculiar problems then, dear June!
Since You'll be also wandering around in other Italian places outside Rome, I'm sure You will enjoy and be re-imbursed for some setbacks You may find in our often messy country ... as they used to warn me in Miami and not being politically correct, watch and detour from gipsy kids, youngsters etc., don't stay too close to immigrant-looking people (of any kind, eastern caucasian, north african or else, listen to their language in case) when on buses and underground and check (even before) the due price with taxy drivers, restaurants and bars (they're not all honest with tourists). These recommendations may apply more or less anywhere in large cities, in Barcelona as in Paris, but I feel sort of responsible since we're not too glad of our excessive "tolerance" as compared to some northern European countries..

As for the weather, we set up everithing to have You enjoy the best of the climates, therefore take with also some suntanning lotionYou may occasionally use in parks, squares or anywhere outside.
