No worries, Pete. Just paint a tower under the sun, put a hard edge circle ringing the sun like an iris, call it the Eye of Sauron and you got the Mordor du Jour.

Heavy skies make for a great dramatic sunset you have to admit though. Add some Valkyries, and you got yourself a Ring Cycle.

ArtRage is still a grand program, no matter the version, in the right hands. Exciting painting, Mr Pinckney!

    Go man go!!!!!!!

I'm very aware of the cultural saying from the Beat Generation, and that 50's vintage is from whence I pinched it. Always loved it and thought the musicians, especially the drummers, had kept it to themselves far too long. In films, I remember seeing cats like Gene Krupa getting cheered on, sometimes other instruments as well, maybe even a dancer or two bugging out would get the word.

As to sneaking into restricted films. . . you betcha. Hahah. Not often as I was too terrified of getting caught and my parents finding out. But my sneaking in was for The Valley of the Dolls. Had no idea what or why it was restricted before hand, but in my case it was a major let-down. Not until a few short years later I was going to movies like 2001 and Easy Rider and Satyricon buzzing like an old blacklight neon motel sign did I see movies on levels that my parents would never see. In my condition they delivered way more than any restricted movie ever could. . .hahahah

In your case it must have been like you were stealing your adulthood -- a rite of passage of sorts like a game of snatch this pebble from my hand, Quai Chang. . . or snatch this piece of chalk from my blackboard and you will be ready to rock, rock, rock round the clock. . .

Well, I have Blackboard Jungle queued up on Amazon to watch as a result of your comment. I really look forward to it. I love that style of music big time.

    Thanks for the memory, Chief!!!!!!

It's terrific right down to the light catching the surface texture of the foreground strokes.
    June.

Oh God of homeless things, look down
And try to ease the way
Of all the little weary paws
    That walk the world
    today.

I love landscapes, do you have a place where I could see more of your work? I'd love to see a painting like this in the process, a video on it or something.
