June , thats a great photo, you had a lovely style.

I tried to shoot a recurve but being vertically challenged my arms are very short, I only have a 19" draw so I decided to go on a compound and adapt an adult bow to my draw length. I Was then able to compete at the higher levels. In 2005 i won every contest I entered during that year at world record status shoots and achieved my Grandmaster. It was an amazing year,. I trained everyday for 8 hours in my garden only being called in for meals. I do missed that side of competing.

Picking up the bow and shooting is one thing, but taking it to the level that you ladies have as phenomenal, very inspiring.

Well done indeed. It's always intriguing what it is that inspires people to levels of peak performance. It appears that sometimes the drive comes from a certain amount of adversity mixed in with all the other inherent qualities. I'm also very intrigued to see how people can switch disciplines with suddenly the starting from the ground floor having been very adept in other fields. We rather expect an opportunity to cross reference and perhaps glean some insight where we can walk away with some inspiration that we can apply to our own process. Plus it's fun to see people we know do well. So thanks for sharing some of the details and bits of your journeys.

As to hijacking this thread or not, I think this is a natural evolution – – as happens with conversations. Besides if people had something to say about that particular artist specifically I think they would have done so. And they still can. But this was a lovely digression I think, and I don't think F-P is losing any sleep over it. Lord knows he has enough sheep to count as it is, so might guesses that sleep deprivation is not one of the things he suffers from.

Alright ladies, time to draw some bows and take some bows. And congratulations on the higher levels of achievement that you hit in archery!!!

It can be interesting how life can change and adapt when things get a little tough, for myself where my passions lay, I will fight to keep them. You cant do that anymore is not in my vocabulary.
