    Blue Ridge Mountains

My hubby and I have gone through the Blue Ridge Mountains in the fall as many visitors have done, we are not too far away about 6 hr drive, it is always beautiful to see, so thought I would share the scenery with this painting, done in oil

A really bold painting where the usual close and long range colors appear somehow reversed.

Very pretty, Pat! Majestic and serene. I can almost hear the stillness between the daytime animals hunkering down for the night and the nighttime ones yet to stir. Awesome tone you've captured.

Beautiful painting. I love the composition. There is a great feeling of peace and distance.
