I have been working on this book for some months now. But finally I got it published. I have used different Tools; ArtRage, Photoshop and SketchBook for it. So if you care to have a look, here is the link to it:http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00U900QRS

Awesome. Is it available in printed form? Are you going to have it printed? About how many illustrations do you have in the book?
Looking forwards to it.

There will be no printed version. The design is just for Kindle. If I make printed version I have to redisign Everything and that is not an option for me now. To get the thing printed you need an agent, and you need a publisher to examine and evaluate the book to see if it will be profitable enough. As an author and illustrator you are lucky to get 10% of the book price, probablly much less. If you publish on Kindle, iOS or Android you get about 35% after tax and the platform publishing fee. Here in Sweden hardly anyone get digital illustrated books published, they are supposed to be hand made on paper. There are just a couple digital books a year, out of about 1500 illustrated storybook titles. I don't know the situation in UK or USA...but the situation is probably about the same.
Making Picture Storybook books apps for iOS, Android and Kindle just needs painting/illustrating software and some programming. The publishing is easy, like "indie" publishing, you have all the control of the process, from scripting, sketching, painting, designing, programming and so on. But of course, you can not control how many that will take interest in your book. Some "spread the word" among friends and relatives, neigbours, social media and such will of course get things going if you are lucky. Like I have done here. I have already some customers after one day...
This book is 36 pages long.
Thank you for showing interest! D Akey, Peter Pinckney and Victor Osaka..!
Hi Henry
Long time....... You can use Createspace for printed books and ebooks......cheap.
They are a part of Amazon.....they print, sell and ship them to the customers.
BUT, if you go with ebooks....you can not put them outside amazon sales for a time period.

And I might add that converting from Kindle to printed version should not be too difficult. You already have the account and ISBN etc. and Amazon's Createspace books are pretty basic in it's requirements. I am doing an Amazon print on demand book for a client right now.

Congratulations and good luck with your sales!
Thanks for your advice. I know about BoD, even on Amazon. The thing still is, you need different designs for different platforms. I don't want to make "a book in a can" just for the Money. I want the design to be unique for the platfor, to meet the platform possibilities, its limaitations, its cahallenges. And so on. Kindle is very basic, but it is also an pure ebook platform. iOs is completely different, Android as well. Paper books needs a whole different thinking. It is unique in every aspect. So I made this design for Kindle. Next will be Android (different screen ratio and interactivity) and iOs (different screen ratio and also interectivity).
There are some different Kindle publishing agreements on Amazon, not just one.
Thank you for yor comments.![]()
